The 2019 Spring Hospital Pharmacy Conference took place in Miami, Florida and offered a wealth of opportunities for participants. Becker’s Hospital Review Health IT + Clinical Leadership + Pharmacy: May 2-4, 2019
The 2nd annual Becker’s Hospital Review Health IT + Clinical Leadership + Pharmacy conference took place in Chicago, IL. This conference brought together hospital and health system CMO, CNO, Health IT and Pharmacy executives in the best business-focused, strategic discussions in the healthcare industry. Participants listened to and networked with the smartest people in the healthcare arena. Discussion topics included best uses of artificial intelligence, Telehealth, data analytics, clinician burnout, population health, pharmaceutical care, cost containment, and more! There was also keynotes by Terry Bradshaw, Bobbi Brown and Kevin Pho.
TSHP Annual Seminar: April 12-14, 2019
The TSHP Annual Seminar took place in Frisco, Texas. Pharmacists, students, technicians and industry professionals met up for the largest educational and networking meeting in the state of Texas. There, they got to select from over 50 hours of programming focused on quality patient care and medication safety. TSHP Annual Seminar programs are designed to maintain and enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of pharmacy professionals at healthcare systems and hospitals across Texas.
MSHP 2019 Annual Conference: April 11-12, 2019
The MSHP 2019 Annual Conference took place in Duluth, Minnesota. The theme was “Working Well: Fostering Patient and Employee Well-being”. Attendees discussed strategies to incorporate well-being and build resiliency in their workplaces. There was also innovative clinical initiatives, legislative updates, clinical topics to learn about. The conference also provided professional development and networking opportunities for pharmacists, residents, technicians, and students to increase engagement in the pharmacy profession.
The Drug Shortage App from LogicStream Health™ made its debut at The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists 2018 Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition on December 2-6 in Anaheim, California. The meeting is the largest gathering of pharmacy professionals in the world. It’s attended annually by more than 25,000 pharmacy professionals from all over the globe. It provides valuable opportunities for professional development, networking, enhancing practice skills and the offers the latest pharmacy products and innovations. 500 leading experts spoke on issues relevant to contemporary pharmacy practice. There were also hundreds of interactive educational opportunities developed to maintain and enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of pharmacists and associated personnel.
NAHQ Next Conference: November 5 to 7, 2018
The National Association for Healthcare Quality hosted their annual conference November 5 to 7, 2018 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The list of esteemed and impactful speakers brought cutting-edge and actionable education that deepened attendees’ knowledge to help them advance the profession and supported their success in the ever-expanding role in healthcare quality. Attendees found empowering and innovative solutions to the broad range of challenges they face every day in improving the quality of care and reducing costs. LogicStream Health exhibited and provided previews of our healthcare-associated infection prevention software suite in booth 423.
2018 APIC Indiana Fall Conference: October 12, 2018
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) hosted APIC Indiana Fall Conference on October 12th. A range of courses were offered to attendees covering a theme of “Navigating the Currents of Infection Prevention.” Speakers presented on healthcare-associated infections such as Clostridium difficile (C. diff) as well as other management topics. LogicStream Health had team members there to speak to attendees about solutions to help solve healthcare-associated infections like CAUTI, C. diff, and CLABSI.
APIC Greater Buffalo Fall Education Program: October 11, 2018
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) hosted their APIC Greater Buffalo Fall Education Program on October 11th. There were courses and outbreak sessions to provide scientific and practical information relevant to the practice of infection prevention. Program objectives intended to describe HIV testing, treatment, and prevention measures. Program speakers discussed multi-drug resistant gonorrhea, the influenza season, outbreak control strategies, proper antibiotic usage and stewardship programs, and examining biological threats from infectious outbreaks. LogicStream Health team members were present to discuss our solutions to help health systems fight CAUTI, C. diff, and CLABSI.
2018 APIC Infection Prevention Academy: October 1 to 7, 2018
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) hosted an Infection Prevention Academy event from October 1-7th in Detroit, Michigan. During these seven days, attendees had opportunities to attend various courses such as Education for the Prevention of Infection (EPI), Infection Prevention for Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC), EPI in Long-Term Care (LTC) and others. During these courses, attendees interacted with hundreds of IPs, participated in focus groups and network. Exhibitors joined attendees for three days during October 2-4th. During that time, attendees learned about helpful products and software that meet their needs. LogicStream Health was there to speak to attendees about our solutions to help health systems with healthcare-associated infections like CAUTI, C. diff, and CLABSI.

The 2018 Fall Hospital Pharmacy Conference took place in Los Angeles, CA in early October. This three-day conference featured cutting-edge educational sessions, networking opportunities with some of America’s most prestigious health systems and entertainment. It also included two unique Reverse Expo sessions that gave attendees an opportunity to discover innovative solutions for their pharmacy departments. Reverse Expo allowed providers to staff exhibit booths while the suppliers walked the floor, creating an optimal environment to network and build relationships on both sides. LogicStream Health also had members of our team there to discuss our pharmacy solutions available to help health systems control drug shortages and high-cost medication spend.
41st Annual MN APIC Conference: September 27, 2018
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) in Minnesota hosted their 41st annual conference in Brooklyn Park on September 27. This two-day conference covered the “ABC’s for IPs”, and attendees found breakout sessions for Acute/Ambulatory and Long-Term Care as well as sessions that covered general interests of all attendees. This was also a great opportunity to connect with colleagues, expand professional skills, rejuvenate and enjoy time with conference participants. LogicStream Health was among the vendors there to speak to attendees about our new solutions to solve healthcare-associated infection problems in health systems, such as CAUTI, C. diff, and CLABSI, and others.
MSHP 2018 Midyear Clinical Meeting: September 21, 2018
On September 21, LogicStream Health was in Brooklyn Park, MN for the Minnesota Society of Health System Pharmacists (MSHP) 2018 Midyear Clinical Meeting. The MSHP is a state professional pharmacy organization driven by 1,200 members of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, residents and students. Their mission is to help people achieve optimal health outcomes through support and advancement of the professional practice of pharmacy. Keynote speakers and breakout meetings for the day covered a variety of topics and followed an overarching theme of “work, life, and passion: finding the balance.” We were happy to visit with attendees to speak about our pharmacy solutions that solve some of the most pressing problems in hospital pharmacies. Our solutions help health systems combat issues surrounding medication utilization, drug shortages and opioid best practices.
The 2018 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition was March 5 to 9, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. HIMSS brings together 40,000+ health IT professionals, clinicians, executives, and vendors from around the world. Exceptional education, world-class speakers, cutting-edge health IT products, and powerful networking are hallmarks of this industry-leading conference. We were able to meet with more than 150 attendees throughout the conference to demonstrate how Clinical Process Improvement solutions align with the goals of HIMSS to lead efforts towards optimizing health engagements and care outcomes through information technology.
December 10 to 13, 2017, LogicStream was on-site at the IHI National Forum on Quality Improvement alongside thousands of the brightest minds in healthcare. Taking place in Orlando, Florida, the Forum was a great opportunity for LogicStream Health to demonstrate the power of its clinical process modules and overall clinical process improvement and control software platform. We were able to interface with hundreds of clinicians and health system employees working to improve clinician engagement, patient safety and quality, and appropriate utilization. We also hosted a lively happy hour during the event in which we were able to visit with many conference attendees. One of our customers, Tampa General Hospital, even had a posterboard on display demonstrating their work on reducing C. diff cases. By applying clinical process improvement and control with our software platform, they were able to reduce their C. diff rates by more than 50 percent. You can preview the
October 10, more than 40 people attended the HIMSS MN event at Poor Richard’s Common House in Bloomington, MN. The event began with a social hour, followed by a presentation, Q&A and networking. LogicStream is grateful to have had the opportunity to share a piece of how Clinical Process Improvement is effectively managing robust and healthy clinical knowledge libraries with everyone who attended. Thank you to all who came out to hear the presentation given by Dr. Tori Christiaansen, Director of Informatics at Fairview Health Services, and our very own Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Brita Hansen. The 2017 Cerner Health Conference took place in Kansas City, Missouri October 9 to 12. CHC is known for its innovative-centric approach to healthcare by using its global platform to encourage change and focus on “the now and the next”. On Tuesday, October 10, LogicStream hosted an event at Cleaver & Cork. We appreciate all who attended our event and helped us enjoy appetizers, drinks, and great conversation. LogicStream is looking forward to seeing you all again next year!

Sharing knowledge among the Epic community is the heart of UGM and a part of why it continues to be a widely influential conference. In addition to the happy hour mentioned above, LogicStream also hosted it’s first Customer Exchange for all our valued clients. The exchange provided a great opportunity for LogicStream clients to network with one another and discover new ways to apply Clinical Process Improvement solutions. In addition to networking, attendees were able to hear success stories from other LogicStream customers and learn about recent and upcoming enhancements to the application. It was our first ‘Open Mic’ night with clients demonstrating the power of The LogicStream Platform with other clients and we look forward to creating more opportunities for all our clients to learn from one another in the future. LogicStream enjoyed a successful week at the 2017 AMDIS Physician-Computer Connection Symposium in Ojai, California June 21 to 23. While we had the opportunity to network and connect with so many contacts new and old, the highlight was hearing about the effort being made by CMIO’s around the country to implement Clinical Process Improvement solutions that support their organization’s efforts to improve clinical quality while reducing costs. During the conference, Dr. Judi Binderman, VP-Corporate CMIO at Community Medical Center in Fresno, California shared with the AMDIS attendees how her organization has developed data curiosity throughout the health system. A big driver of that data curiosity is the ability to put the key information in the hands of the operational stakeholders throughout Community Medical Centers using Clinical Process Improvement solutions from LogicStream.
